Chambersburg to Mars - Sunday, 4 June 2017

Up early this morning because of the Finance Committee meeting on campus at 8:15. What a rude awakening to be in the shower when the electricity went off. Almost in panic mode as to how I was going to get my hair dried, etc. But then after about 5 minutes power was restored.

Grabbed a Cinnabon and headed to campus. Good meeting and then the Memorial Chapel Service. With some hymns, scripture, and a homily, the service is also a time to remember those who have passed away in the last year. The Alumnae Board and anyone else who wishes places daisies in a W on the stage of the chapel. Very moving, yet so pretty.

Brunch, the Alumnae Board meeting and then on to Mars. We got out a bit early so was able to listen to the Pirates on the way home. This will be known as the game with 2 7th inning stretches due to a challenge after the top of the 7th by Clint Hurdle. Great game as the Pirates bats came alive and won 11-1 over the Mets.
